Châteauroux reserves a special place for nature and culture, but it is also a lively town with a range of facilities for visitors looking for outdoor activities and adventures, just a stone's throw from Hotel Le Continental. Amateurs of tennis will have plenty of courts to play on (open to all), and if you're looking to swim a few lengths, or play around in the water, head to Frimin pool, or Belle-Isle artificial wave pool. When the sun is shining, Daniel Bernadet park opens its Beach Sport area (football, beach volleyball, beach racket ball), its water sports centre (windsurfing, canoeing, small boats, optimist, pedalos) and its artificial beach.
All year round, you can enjoy access to its skate park, stadium, gym, boules centre or lake for a spot of fishing. Amateur golfers will also be able to indulge their favourite pastime. Eight kilometres from Châteauroux, by the banks of the Trégonce, Val de l'Indre Golf is an 18-hole course (Par 72) on the old grounds of Villedieu-sur-Indre château. At the heart of this 60-hectare domain, with its cedars and oaks, you are free to practice by yourself, but also take individual or collective lessons.
